Traci is an experienced therapist and founder of Brightway Counseling & Wellness where she has a team of excellent counselors, all dedicated to the highest ethical standard of the counseling profession and passionate about client progress. Traci and her team are passionate about providing a warm, comfortable, and accepting environment where clients can be open and feel supported throughout the counseling process.
Traci received her undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University where she studied Business and Psychology. While attending graduate school, Traci worked in the health benefit corporate environment where she recruited, managed, and provided services to a large territory of providers in Texas and earned her master’s degree in professional counseling from Amberton University in 2007.
Beginning her counseling career in 2006, Traci worked for a family crisis center in Plano, Texas, where she provided counseling services for all ages and facilitated groups dedicated to improving teen/parent relationships. Additionally, Traci served as a counselor for a local domestic violence outreach center where she worked with victims of domestic abuse, facilitated victims support groups as well as implemented and managed a transitional housing program for domestic abuse victims and families. In 2009, Traci began counseling in a private practice setting and concurrently served as a contract therapist for Frisco Independent School District. The years of experience and opportunity to work with each member of a family and individuals within their family system has afforded Traci the ability to successfully work with individuals of all ages.
Traci is a professional member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Play Therapy and is accredited as a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Traci serves as a board supervisor for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and provides counseling supervision to Licensed Counselor Associates pursuing permanent licensure with the state of Texas.
Traci is a native Texan and grew up and attended schools in Plano, Texas. She is married and has three children. Through personal experience with grief, loss and change, Traci has gained a passion for working with children and adults who are grieving or struggling with loss, change and adjustment in various stages of the lifespan.
Traci understands the complexity of marriage and the work and dedication that is an ever-evolving partnership of love and compromise through the various stages of the relationship; As a parent, she knows first-hand the challenge of parenting children and teens in today’s time of ever-changing technology, social media, and morality.
Traci enjoys running, reading, playing tennis, cooking, and spending time with family. Traci enjoys working with people who are motivated to participate in the counseling process, ready to take a closer look at how their attitude and behaviors are impacting their life, situations, or relationships and willing to have patience and grace for themselves in the process.


Currently, Traci works solely in private practice in northwest Plano conveniently located between Spring Creek and Tennyson, just east of the North Dallas Tollway.
