Lindsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Traci Koen, LPC-S, RPT-S. Lindsey earned her Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from UT Southwestern Medical Center and her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from Baylor University.
Lindsey worked within a research program that focused on effective treatments for children and adolescents with depression. During her training, she gained experience working with clients with a range of diagnosis including: depression, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In addition to working as a therapist with Brightway Counseling & Wellness, Lindsey works at Children’s Medical Center as a clinical therapist in the psychiatric inpatient unit.
Lindsey believes in a collaborative approach to therapy with an emphasis on a client’s potential and strengths. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation into her sessions.
Lindsey is native to South Carolina but has called Texas “home” for the past fifteen years. During her free time she enjoys cooking with her husband, and relaxing with her dog Charles and cat Stanley.
