Education
Jordan is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas and supervised by Angela Taylor, LPC-S. Jordan earned her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development at Texas Christian University.
Experience
Jordan has experience providing counseling services to individuals across the lifespan and specializes in working with adolescents/teens, couples and families. She has a special interest in working with the LGBT community, grief, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and domestic violence. In addition to working as a therapist for BrightWay Counseling and Wellness, Jordan works as a program therapist with the Eating Recovery Center in Plano, Texas, where she facilitates curriculum-based and community support groups. She is trained and experienced in multiple levels of care including intensive outpatient and acute residential treatment.
Counseling Approach
Jordan believes in a collaborative counseling relationship that fosters encouragement and growth. She helps clients get to the root of what is preventing them from living the life they desire and assists them in creating a plan to overcome those hardships in a warm, accepting and judgement free environment.
She enjoys working with adolescents/teens, adults, couples, and families.
Personal
Jordan is a native Texen and has lived in Michigan and California. Jordan has a sweet Miniature Australian Shepherd named Addison Grace that she spoils every second she gets. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, and immersing herself in the world and different cultures.
